Tips for Working with Grapefruit Oil: Grapefruit Oil is not water-soluble. It's soluble in oil, which is ideal for making chocolates and coatings. Standard use is 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Grapefruit Oil per pound of coating or chocolate. Grapefruit Oil will solidify if stored in an environment below 59F. If it solidifies, just warm the oil until it becomes liquid again. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling Grapefruit Oil. It is very strong. Grapefruit Oil is 3 to 4 times the strength of water or alcohol-based extract. When substituting Grapefruit Oil for extract, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of oil for 1 teaspoon of extract.
